Heating effects

Summary
Electricity can be transferred into other forms of energy such as the heat which generates light in headlight bulbs.

As current flows through motor vehicle circuits, most of the electrical energy is transformed into other kinds of energy.

Headlamps transform it into intense heat that makes the bulb filaments glow white hot and produce light.

It can demist a window, or can be used to provide circuit protection from excessive current flow.
