Ron Beaumont

Ron Beaumont is a fully qualified and experienced automotive master technician who has been the national regional service manager for a truck manufacturer, and the national and international service and parts manager an automotive air conditioning company.

He has been a technical instructor within the Queensland Technical and Further Education system, a regional trainer for Ford Australia and for the Motor Trades Association of Qld, and he managed the training division of the Queensland Government Department  of Transport.

Ron has also been involved in a number of curriculum and competency standards development projects, in particular: an apprenticeship training program for the Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade; competency based training courses for electronic fuel injection specialist technicians; and he was the lead agent in the development of national training standards for the transport sector, negotiating with all Australian states to gain consensus for the initiative.

He has developed particular expertise in the application of new technologies to the teaching/learning process, both in the classroom and with distance education programs, and has been the technical advisor to a number of authors of automotive technical manuals.

Ron has been a key member of the Technical Advisory Team for the development of CDX automotive training programs since 1998.
